Global outage hits Twitter, Tweetdeck

A global outage of Twitter and TweetDeck affected thousands of users Wednesday.

Twitter reportedly was working again Wednesday morning after the social media site and its dashboard management website Tweetdeck would not allow users to log in, Reuters reported.

“You might have had trouble Tweeting, getting notifications, or viewing DMs. We’re currently working on a fix, and should be back to normal soon”

A Twitter spokesperson told The Hill that the outage was “due to problems with our internal systems communicating with each other.”

More than 4,000 reports of the platform being down were recorded by outage monitoring website Outage.report, including from Japan, Canada and India, according to the newswire.
