Teen hiker falls to death at Yosemite while trying to take a selfie: report
An 18-year-old hiker died earlier this week after he fell off a cliff at Yosemite National Park while trying to take a selfie.
Tomer Frankfurter, a Jerusalem resident, died Wednesday from the fall, The Times of Israel reported, and his body was being brought back to the country for burial.
{mosads}Frankfurter was on a two-month trip to the U.S., The Times of Israel reported his mother as telling Israel’s Channel 10 news.
He fell about 820 feet after slipping, his mother said, citing information conveyed to her by authorities, according to The Times of Israel.
There have been six deaths at Yosemite in the past five months, according to The Fresno Bee.
