Santorum to appear at Supreme Court for healthcare fight
Rick Santorum will be at the Supreme Court on Monday as oral arguments
begin over the Obama administration’s healthcare reform law.
Santorum’s campaign told The Hill that the former Pennsylvania senator
will appear on the steps of the court around noon. The court
is set to begin three days of arguments over whether the law is
unconstitutional.
{mosads}Santorum has repeatedly made the national healthcare law and the one put
in place while Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts the focus of
his criticism of Romney and Obama, respectively. At the Supreme Court,
Santorum is likely to attack both Romney’s law and Obama’s.
Santorum has argued that the Massachusetts healthcare law
makes Romney an especially weak candidate against Obama and that Romney should not be the GOP’s nominee for president.
