Poll: Voter frustration takes toll on govs
According to a new poll out Friday, governors nationwide tend to face the lowest approval ratings when compared with President Obama and the senators from their states.
In 52 percent of states examined by the latest Public Policy Polling survey, the governor ranked lowest of the four in popularity. In another 12 percent, they ranked second-to-last.
California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) has the highest unfavorables among his peers, at 71-19. The survey notes his popularity has sunk 8 points in the last two months.
The exceptions to the rule include New Hampshire Governor John Lynch (D), Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal (R),
Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe (D), and Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear (D).
Obama ranked least popular in Texas, Louisiana and Kentucky.
