{mosads}”I just think employment is really important right now,” Lohan told reporters at a Regent Beverly Wilshire event. She said “as of now” she plans to vote for the Republican ticket.
Lohan has reportedly had her own employment troubles in the past, due to charges of shoplifting, DUI, drug abuse and unprofessional behavior on at least one movie set. She has several movies planned to come out in 2013.
According to reports, Lohan’s only other comment was that her political decision was a “long story.” Fox News reported that she wanted to, but did not, watch the vice presidential debate that evening.
In 2008, Lohan told “Access Hollywood” it was “an amazing feeling” to see President Obama get elected. The actress, who is active on Twitter, often retweets the president, as well. But this year, she apparently objected to Obama’s proposal to raise taxes on wealthy Americans, a category that could include Lohan.
Last month, she fired back at a tweet by Obama advocating lowering taxes “for those who need it: middle-class families, small businesses.” Lohan tweeted: “we also need to cut them for those that are listed on Forbes as ‘millionaires’ “
Lohan has reportedly faced her own tax issues with the IRS this year.
And according to E! Online, the star isn’t registered to vote.
