Biden: WikiLeaks has made meetings with world leaders ‘more cumbersome’
Vice President Joe Biden said the WikiLeaks release of scores of diplomatic cables has changed the way he conducts business with other world leaders.
“There is a desire now to meet with me alone rather than have staff in the room,” Biden said in an interview airing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“It makes things more cumbersome, so it has done damage,” he said.
Biden slammed WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, alleging he has “damaged and put in jeopardy the lives and occupations of people in other parts of the world.”
“He has made it more difficult for us to conduct our business with our allies and our friends,” Biden said.
