Bachmann’s Tea Party address gets ‘Saturday Night Live’ treatment
Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann (R) got the “Saturday Night Live” treatment last night for her Tea Party response to President Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.
“SNL” lampooned Bachmann’s speech on Tuesday, particularly how Bachmann, in the version of her speech aired on TV, seemed to look off-camera throughout her address.
In the sketch, which opened the program, Bachmann was played by actress Kristen Wiig, who also plays Democratic House leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) and other politicians on the program.
