Police arrest man outside Kerry’s home

Police on Sunday afternoon arrested a man parked near the Boston home of Secretary of State John Kerry, according to reports.

State Department security officers notified Boston police about the man, after observing him taking photographs of the house from his car.

The unidentified 29-year-old man said he was taking the pictures to share with a friend and admitted he had been drinking. He is scheduled to appear before a judge on Monday.

Kerry was not home at the time and was visiting his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, in the hospital, Kerry spokesman Glen Johnson told The Boston Globe.

Heinz Kerry suffered a seizure last week at the Kerrys’ Nantucket home and was flown to Boston for additional medical care.

Last week, Kerry said his wife was “doing better” and “improving.”
