Endeavour flight postponed
No new launch date has been set for the last flight of the Space Shuttle Endeavour, which is to be commanded by the husband of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.).
Endeavour, commanded by astronaut and Navy Capt. Mark Kelly, had originally been scheduled to liftoff Friday, but that launch was postponed until Monday. On Sunday NASA announced that the rescheduled Monday flight was also postponed due to mechanical difficulties.
On Friday, Giffords, who was shot in the head during a rampage in early January, flew from TIRR Memorial Hospital in Houston where she has been recovering to Cape Canaveral to watch the flight.
President Obama and his family also visited Cape Canaveral on Friday, even after the liftoff had been canceled.
