Obama and Boehner to play golf together
President Obama and Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) will play golf together, a spokesman for the speaker confirmed.
The two will hit the links on Saturday, June 18, in Washington D.C.
{mosads}Both men are avid golfers and have been asked repeatedly when they will play together.
No word on if the scores will be released.
Boehner ranked higher than the president in Golf Digest‘s ranking of D.C. golfers: Boehner came in at #43 and Obama came in #108.
In a January interview with Fox News, Boehner mentioned the possibility of playing with Obama while simultaneously expressing confidence in his own skill.
“I’m sure I’ll have to give him strokes,” he said.
Last weekend Obama played a round at Fort Belvoir in Virginia. He also plays at Andrews Air Force Base.
