Giffords is co-writing a memoir

{mosads}The news comes roughly a week after TIRR Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston announced that Giffords would be released and continue her recovery from her husband’s home in nearby League City, Texas.

Since the shooting rampage in Tucson, Ariz., that claimed the lives of six and left 13 wounded, including Giffords, the congresswoman has been experiencing what many have called a nearly miraculous recovery process.

In a recent interview on ABC’s “Today Show,” President Obama praised Giffords’s recovery.

“It’s a genuine miracle to see where she was just a few months ago and where she is now,” Obama said.

Still, Giffords’s staff has been hesitant to say how much the Arizona Democrat would continue to progress or if she will ever be able to fully return to her job in Congress.
