{mosads}The Air Force and Navy are scheduled to square off in a sold-out, nationally televised football game, while the Army has a planned match-up against Boston College. Other intercollegiate athletic events at the academies remain in limbo.
The Department of Defense released a statement earlier this week saying the academy game would be postponed for as long as the government remained closed. While there’s no end in sight to the gridlock in Washington, reports say the games are not funded through the federal appropriations process and can therefore proceed.
