Reps. Steven Palazzo (R-Miss.) and Randy Weber (R-Texas) both voted against funding for Hurricane Sandy, but were among about a dozen GOP Gulf Coast lawmakers calling for Obama to back the FEMA-funding bill.
{mosads}The bill was approved in a 247-164 vote on Friday.
Palazzo became testy when a Bloomberg reporter questioned his vote against Sandy relief.
Palazzo insisted that he did vote for the Sandy relief measures, telling the reporter to “go back and check your facts on that.”
But Rep. Palazzo was incorrect, according to the official House of Representatives vote tally.
Weber, however, defended his vote against Sandy relief, arguing it was “full of pork” and raised the deficit.
