Giffords travels to North Carolina for rehab therapy
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) traveled to North Carolina on Sunday to begin two weeks of intensive rehabilitation therapy.
Giffords, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head in January, traveled from Houston to Asheville, N.C., for two weeks of therapy. According to the congresswoman’s office, Giffords will be working with a therapist who has thus far been deeply involved in her recovery.
{mosads}Giffords’s rehabilitation therapy will last until Nov. 4.
Since the shooting rampage that left six dead and 13 wounded — including Giffords — in early January, doctors have hailed the congresswoman’s recovery as akin to a miracle.
