Cain makes nationwide radio ad buy to promote 9-9-9 plan
{mosads}But the former pizza executive has stumbled within the last week, as Republican candidates beat up on his tax plan at the last primary debate and a gaffe about abortion rights have bruised his campaign.
Still, supporters hope that the radio buy will help the candidate regain his momentum and maintain his spot at or near the top of Republican polls.
“This is another example of the synergies we are developing between our national strategy and our state strategies,” said Block. “We are running a fifty-state campaign, with the belief that every Republican voter in every state should have a say in the outcome of our party’s nominating process.”
Cain’s campaign also argued that by targeting conservative AM radio shows, the campaign can reach both voters in early primary states and a national audience.
“As the largest radio program in America, Rush Limbaugh reaches the two biggest AM stations in Iowa,” said Steve Grubbs, Iowa campaign chairman, in a statement. “We believe this will support our renewed efforts to line up precinct captains in 1500 locations across the state and help us raise the critical donations we need to fund our campaign effort.”
