Condoleezza Rice: Gadhafi showed me his ‘eerie’ scrapbook of me

Rice told ABC that when Gadhafi showed her the scrapbook in 2008, he also presented her with an original song, composed for her at Gadhafi’s request and titled “Black Flower in the White House.”

Gadhafi also presented Rice with a variety of other gifts that were more widely reported during the visit.

“What was going through my head was, ‘How long do I have to sit here and how quickly can I get out of here?’ You know, it was funny because when he said, ‘I have a video for you,’ I thought, ‘Oh my goodness, what is this going to be?’ But it was actually just a bunch of pictures of me with Vladimir Putin, me with Hu Jin Tao,” she said.

The State Department called the scrapbook “deeply bizarre and deeply creepy.”

Gadhafi was killed in his hometown of Sirte last Thursday, according to a spokesman for the Libyan Transitional National Council, the U.S.-backed revolutionary movement that overthrew him.
