Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia welcomed the White House Christmas tree Friday, alongside first dogs Sunny and Bo.
{mosads}The 18 1/2-foot Douglas fir arrived from Pennsylvania and will be displayed in the White House Blue Room throughout the holidays.
This year the tree will be decorated “with photos of military homecomings,” Obama said in an interview with Ladies Home Journal. “We’re also asking military families to share their traditions, and those will be reflected in the ornaments as well,” she added.
The National Christmas Tree Association has presented the official White House Christmas Tree since 1966.
