Sen. Kerry uses DNC attack on Romney

{mosads}”Pretty soon he is going to have more positions on healthcare than he has voters,” Kerry said via phone on Fox Business Network’s “Imus in the Morning.”

Romney has been haunted by the healthcare legislation he implemented as governor of Massachusetts. He has said he will not back away from the healthcare reform effort, defending it as right for the state. He continues to campaign against President Obama’s national healthcare law as “unconstitutional.”

Democrats have recently broadened their fire to include Newt Gingrich, the current — and relatively new — front-runner in the polls. However, the DNC has released one new Web video a day taking aim at Romney so far this week. Monday’s video slammed Romney for depicting himself as an “outside Washington” candidate, pointing out he has been running for office since 1994.

Tuesday’s video targeted Romney on the payroll tax cut, which will expire at the end of the year if Congress does not extend it. Obama wants to expand the program.

“Governor Romney has never met a tax cut he didn’t like,” Romney’s spokeswoman, Andrea Saul, said in response to the video. “He has made it clear that he does not believe that by itself the payroll tax cut will create the type of permanent long term change that is needed to turn the economy around.”
