Issa letter to McDonough
House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) is demanding the Obama administration turn over documents as part of his investigation into whether the White House’s recently relaunched political office is improperly using taxpayer money to help Democrats at the polls.
{mosads}Issa wants White House chief of staff Denis McDonough to turn over all internal documents and communications related to the reopening of the office by the end of the month.
“Unfortunately, it appears the White House has determined it is appropriate to use taxpayer money in an effort to achieve political success,” Issa writes in a letter.
