Palin slams Dems on ‘double standard’
Sarah Palin on Monday lampooned the way people reacted to Karl Rove’s recent comments about Hillary Clinton’s health.
“Hey! Hillary’s brain is off-limits! Leave her health records alone!” Palin wrote on her Facebook page.
“Democrats are right – scouring records of a female candidate is just politics of personal destruction, and for the media to engage in it would be unfair, unethical, and absolutely UNPRECEDENTED.”
{mosads}The former Alaska governor said Democrats would view investigating a female politician’s health background as a “war on women.”
Palin accused Democrats of applying a “double standard” because her family’s health was spotlighted in the lead-up to the 2012 presidential election before she came the GOP vice presidential nominee.
She linked to a 2011 story about a conspiracy in which people questioned whether Trig Palin, who has Down syndrome, was her son.
“Thank goodness liberals are consistent in refusing to apply double standards, thanks to their disdain for hypocrisy – so they’ll come through once again!” Palin wrote.
Rove recently raised Clinton’s health as a factor if she runs for president in 2016. He said the public should be informed about the details of her fall in 2012.
Clinton suffered a fall in her Washington, D.C., home that December, hit her head and was diagnosed with a concussion.
Rove immediately came under fire for his remarks, but defended his comments on Sunday.
