Rep. Bachmann will not compete on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

{mosads}Herman Cain, Bachmann’s fellow former Republican presidential candidate, was reportedly also asked to appear on the upcoming season of the ABC show. He likewise declined.

Mitt Romney, who remains a contender for the GOP nomination, sought to jump ahead of any possible future invitations to compete on TV reality competitions, telling Fox News hosts on Wednesday morning: “Under no circumstances would I ever [go on] ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ ”

He also indicated he would not be appearing on singing competition “American Idol” anytime soon, saying, “I’m afraid I can’t make that cut either.”

Past politicians who competed on “Dancing With the Stars” include former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) and former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol.
