Man accused of threatening to kill Obama, Romney, Ryan

A man in Tennessee has been accused of threatening to kill President Obama, 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and some state officials, according to The Associated Press. 

Jimmie Johnson Jr. left profanity-filled voicemails with the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security in mid-July, according to an affidavit the AP said prosecutors filed Friday. 

{mosads}Johnson threatened Obama and others in the messages, saying he would “blow them all up” and “come with an AK and kill all you [vulgarity],” the affidavit said.

In another message, Johnson said he would “light Nashville up” and again threatened to kill Romney and Ryan, The Tennessean newspaper reports. 

He was charged with misdemeanor harassment, and is jailed on a $5,000 bond. He’s scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
