Giggling Ryan drenches Romney in ice water
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) gave a chilly reception to Mitt Romney as the pair reunited for the first interview since the 2012 election.
A giggling Ryan drenched a full-suited Romney in ice water as part of the popular ice bucket challenge that aims to raise awareness and money to combat Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Romney said he would also donate money to combat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
The video was posted to Romney’s Facebook page Friday, a day after he and Ryan sat down for an interview with Fox News’s Megyn Kelly in the pair’s first joint interview since their failed White House run.
Other prominent political figures have also taken the bucket challenge, including former President George W. Bush, while other political figures like Vice President Biden have opted to write a check.
Ryan posted a video last week of his daughter Eliza pouring a bucket of water on him.
A cold Romney challenged his wife, Ann, and actor Jason Sudeikis to take the challenge.
“Jason, get wet and make a contribution.”
