Romney to campaign with Boehner in Ohio over weekend
{mosads}”The Speaker and the Governor met for about an hour yesterday and discussed ways they can work together over the months ahead,” said Cory Fritz, a spokesman for Boehner, in a statement.
The House Speaker endorsed Romney in April after it became obvious that Romney would likely sew up the GOP nomination. ”I will be proud to support Mitt Romney and do everything I can to help him win,” Boehner said, arguing Romney’s economic plan contrasted “sharply with the failed economic policies of President Obama.”
The rally will come as part of a six-state bus tour through prominent swing states the Romney campaign is kicking off Friday in New Hampshire. In Ohio, Romney will be joined by other prominent Republican politicians, including Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), who is considered a favorite for Romney’s vice presidential nomination.
The presumptive Republican nominee will also visit Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan during the tour.
