Sunday shows preview: 2016 hopefuls make their case

Several possibly 2016 presidential contenders will take to the Sunday morning shows to make their case for launching White House bids. 
 
Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, one of the few Democrats openly considering a challenge to Hillary Clinton, will get national exposure during his appearance on ABC’s “This Week.”
 
{mosads}O’Malley has tried to position himself to run to the left of Clinton. He made trips to the early-voting states of Iowa and New Hampshire earlier this month. 
 
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), the first major candidate to officially declare for a White House bid, leads the GOP charge with an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union.” 
 
Among other Republicans, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina will appear on “Fox News Sunday” and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will speak on CBS’s “Face the Nation”
 
Elsewhere, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) will make a victory lap on CNN to discuss the House’s overwhelming passage this week of a roughly $200 billion legislation package strengthening Medicare. He is also expected to speak on foreign policy. 
 
Sens. Richard Burr, (R-N.C.), Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) will speak on CBS, along with Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and former Sens. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) and Olympia Snowe (R-Maine).
 
Victoria Kennedy, wife of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.), will appear on FOX, ABC and NBC to speak about the Monday dedication of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate in Boston.
