Trump: ‘I’m disappointed’ in many Republicans

New York business mogul Donald Trump on Saturday voiced deep dissatisfaction with the GOP’s ability to offer voters a real alternative from the Democrats.

“I’m disappointed with a lot of the Republican politicians,” Trump admitted at the New Hampshire Republican Party’s First In the Nation leadership summit in Nashua, N.H.

{mosads}”Politicians are never going to solve all the problems we have,” he argued. “They’re too deep-seeded.”

Trump cited 2012 GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney as proof Republicans were not putting forth their best effort against Democrats. The fact President Obama got reelected, he added, proved voter apathy towards both parties given Obama’s “incompetence.”

Trump, himself a 2016 GOP White House hopeful, said neither party had better prospects next election cycle either.

“We don’t use our best, our brightest and our sharpest in our country anymore,” he argued.

“All the people you’re listening to, you can forget it,” he said of the overall 2016 presidential field.

“If I decide to run and win, I will make this country great again,” Trump charged. “Politicians aren’t going to do it, I can say with surety.”

Trump would face GOP Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas), Rand Paul (Ky.) and Marco Rubio (Fla.), and potentially Democrat Hillary Clinton, if he seeks the Oval Office next year. The business mogul said his outside politics would make him a formidable foe for any other candidate.

“I think I can beat her and not a lot of other people could,” Trump said of Clinton.

“I think I’m going to surprise a lot of people,” he added of his 2016 decision. “I’ve done really nicely when they put me in the polls.”

Trump claimed almost any choice would improve upon the Obama administration. President Obama and his cabinet, he argued, had greatly diminished U.S. power.

“When was the last time you saw our country win at anything?” Trump said. “We don’t win anymore. No matter what it is, we don’t seem to have it.”

“If I get into a primary, I am going to fight like you wouldn’t believe,” he added of seeking the GOP’s 2016 nomination. “We have to save our country.”
