Clinton Cash author has full-time security
Peter Schweizer, the author of a much-buzzed-about forthcoming book scrutinizing donations to the Clinton Foundation, said Wednesday he has full-time personal security.
{mosads}”I’ll just say we have security, and that security is not something that came just because we decided to have security. And we’ll just leave it at that,” Schweizer said in an interview with Bloomberg TV.
His comments came at the end of the interview when asked whether he had received any death threats regarding the controversial book, Clinton Cash, which hits shelves next week but has already garnered much attention.
Some media outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post and Bloomberg have obtained full or excerpted copies of the book, which drops weeks into Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
Clinton allies have railed against the book, which raises fresh questions over whether foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation during her tenure as secretary of State, from 2009 to 2013, possibly influenced her actions.
“I think this raises huge concerns about whether she’s compromised,” Schweizer said, referring to foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation, which, over the weekend, admitted “mistakes” over donor disclosures.
