George Zimmerman shot in Florida
Police in Florida say George Zimmerman was involved in what appears to be a road rage shooting incident Monday afternoon.
Zimmerman was struck in the face during a confrontation with another driver and suffered what appears to be a minor injury, local ABC affiliate WFTV reported.
Zimmerman was not shot in the incident, according to his lawyer Don West, but was instead hit by shattering glass.
The other driver was apparently known to Zimmerman according to West, who told TMZ the unidentified man drove alongside his pickup truck and fired inside the driver’s side window.
Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell confirmed Zimmerman’s involvement to local NBC affiliate WESH.
