Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker rolled through Iowa on a motorcycle Saturday. A day later, he will roll onto the set of ABC’s “This Week.”
Walker was a featured speaker at Saturday’s “Roast and Ride” event hosted by freshman Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa).
Sunday news pundits will recap the event — a crucial spotlight for multiple GOP 2016 candidates — with Ernst appearing on CNN.
{mosads}The shows will also analyze the expanding list of 2016 presidential contenders this weekend.
Voters from both parties saw new options join their party tickets earlier this week.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) led the charge for Republicans by launching his campaign on Monday from his hometown of Central, S.C.
Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry then joined the GOP ticket with his own entrance on Thursday in Dallas.
Former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee, meanwhile, ensured Democrats were not left out by starting his own bid Wednesday from George Mason University in Arlington, Va.
All four Sunday talk shows airing tomorrow will host one or more contenders from 2016’s crowded ranks.
Here is a list of Sunday morning’s expected guest appearances:
ABC’s “This Week”: Walker will describe his “Roast and Ride” experience with host George Stephanopoulos.
The possible White House hopeful will also weigh in on his party’s 2016 field and recent developments both foreign and domestic.
Ret. Gen. Stanley McChrystal will also appear.
The former head of Joint Special Operations Command in Iraq will discuss America’s current actions there and its strategy countering the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
CNN’s “State of the Union”: CNN will broadcast live from Iowa and analyze Saturday’s “Roast and Ride” rally.
To that end, guest anchor Dana Bash will meet Ernst and hear her thoughts on what the inaugural event means for Iowa voters going forward.
Bash will also host Chafee, Graham and Perry, getting each of their takes on entering the 2016 race earlier this week.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) will also appear. Cotton drew headlines this week after a confrontation with an anti-war activist.
CBS’s “Face the Nation”: “Face the Nation” will debut its new host, John Dickerson, on Sunday.
He will first greet Perry, getting the former governor’s insights on why he thinks his second Oval Office bid is different from his first.
Dickerson then chats with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, probing the possible 2016 contender on when and if he will enter next year’s race.
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) will weigh in on his new policies for America’s biggest city and what he would need to support Democratic 2016 candidate Hillary Clinton.
Rep. Michael McCaul, the House Homeland Security chairman, rounds out CBS’s Sunday lineup by analyzing the shooting death of terror suspect Usaama Rahim in Boston on Tuesday.
“Fox News Sunday”: Host Chris Wallace will meet his own 2016 guest in former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.)
Santorum, who came up short in his 2012 run, will explain what is different about his campaign strategy this election cycle.
“Fox News Sunday” will also focus on Thursday’s news that a major hack exposed the data of 4 million formal and current federal employees last April.
Wallace will greet Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.), a House Homeland Security Committee member, and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.
Both lawmakers will give their thoughts on the data breach and its implications for U.S. cybersecurity.
NBC’s “Meet the Press”: NBC will not air “Meet the Press” on Sunday.
It will instead air the finals of the French Open tennis tournament.
