Obama calls George H.W. Bush after fall
President Obama on Thursday called former President George H.W. Bush to wish him a speedy recovery from a neck injury that landed him in the hospital.
{mosads}“The president extended best wishes on behalf of himself and the first lady,” White House spokesman Eric Schultz said.
Bush, 91, was hospitalized Wednesday after falling in his home in Kennebunkport, Maine.
The 41st president broke a bone in his neck, but a spokesman said the injury was not life threatening.
“We are not expecting a long stay,” Bush spokesman Jim McGrath said.
