Verdict reached in Colorado theater shooting
A jury has reached a verdict in the Colorado theater shooting trial of James Holmes, according to The Associated Press and Reuters.
{mosads}The decision reached Thursday, which comes after months of testimony in the case, will be read shortly after 6 p.m., according to the AP.
Holmes, 27, pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity in the July 2012 midnight shooting at a Denver area theater that left 12 people dead and 70 others injured. If convicted, he could face the death penalty or life in prison. If found not guilty, he could be permanently committed to a state mental hospital, according to the AP.
