Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is mocking Donald Trump’s tendency to campaign on his high polling numbers, equating the habit to actor Charlie Sheen’s “winning” catchphrase.
In a 40-second ad released Wednesday and titled “Trump is Winning,” Jindal’s campaign splices several of Trump’s speeches next to interviews with Sheen bragging about his celebrity.
{mosads}“But I’m winning in all the polls,” Trump is heard saying at one point.
“Duh, winning,” Sheen follows.
“It’s time to get serious” flashes on the screen at the end of the video.
Jindal has termed Trump’s meteoric rise in the polls “the summer of silliness.”
This is not the first time Trump has been compared to the former “Two and a Half Men” star.
Actor Owen Wilson called Trump the Charlie Sheen of politics.
“It’s like when Charlie Sheen was doing that stuff – like wow!” Wilson told the Daily Beast last month. “He’s answering a question completely honestly, and in an entertaining way.”
