Kanye West to perform at DNC fundraiser

Musician Kanye West plans on performing at a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in San Francisco next month, according to NBC Bay Area.

President Obama is also scheduled for an address during the Oct. 10 event at the Warfield, a 2,300-seat venue in the Bay Area city.

{mosads}Tickets for the DNC’s mixer are selling for $250 to $10,000 each, the report said.

West is expecting to perform songs from forthcoming album “Swish.” The hip-hop artist’s set list includes his latest single “All Day,” CNN reported Wednesday.

West’s representatives are refusing comment about whether he is debuting more new music during the gig, CNN said.

West is forbidden from addressing politics while performing, the New York Post said Tuesday.

“There will be restrictions,” a source told the publication. “Kayne won’t be able to lecture the president about how to run the country.”

“Kayne will be an exciting draw, especially compared to the Republicans booking Wayne Newton or Clint Eastwood,” said DNC member Robert Zimmerman. “We all know how well that turned out.”

West shocked fans last month by vowing he would seek the presidency during the 2020 election cycle.

The outspoken entertainer’s boast is not the first time he has entered the White House’s orbit.

West famously said former President George W. Bush “doesn’t care about black people” in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

He later apologized to Bush after the former president called it one of the “most disgusting” moments of his two terms in the Oval Office.
