Trump: Melania will ‘very much’ campaign for me

GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump said on Wednesday that his wife Melania Trump plans on joining him on the campaign trail.

“She’s very much into women’s health issues,” he told host Don Lemon on CNN.

{mosads}“I think she’ll be amazing and Ivanka’s going to be amazing,” Trump said, referencing his daughter Ivanka Trump.

“They’re going to be out very much on the campaign trail,” the outspoken billionaire added.

Trump also revealed that his son with Melania, Barron Trump, is getting anxious about the possibility that the family will have a move to Washington in its future.

“He loves his school, he loves New York, he’s got a lot of friends, so right now, I think he would be very happy to stay in New York,” Trump said of the nine-year-old.

“But he asks me, ‘Do you think we’ll have to go?’” he said of his son’s interest in the 2016 election. “And I always tell him, ‘We have a long way to go.’”

Trump’s family has largely remained absent from his quest for the Oval Office.

Melania Trump said in a rare interview earlier on Wednesday that she is not interested in changing her husband’s combative media persona.

“He is who he is,” she said. “Even if you give him advice, he will maybe take it in, but then he will do it in the way he wants to do it.

“You cannot change a person,” the former model added. “Let them be. Let them be the way they are.”

Trump argued on Wednesday evening that he tries balancing his self-confidence with the opinions of his loved ones.

“I have my own mind,” he said. “I do listen to lots of people, and then it goes through that, and I try and do what I think is right.

“I’m very open to listening to lot of different ideas and a lot of different people,” Trump added.

Donald and Melania Trump married in Palm Beach, Florida in 2005. Barron is the couple’s only child.
