Trump: ‘I always felt a little guilty’ about not serving in military

 
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has always felt guilty about not serving in the military, he said Tuesday.
 
Asked during a Q&A session at Waterville Valley, N.H., about the source of his patriotism, Trump responded, “I didn’t serve, I haven’t served.”
 
{mosads}The business mogul noted that he got deferments to attend school and for a foot injury.
 
“I always felt a little guilty,” Trump said. “I’ve done a lot of things. I’ve built the Vietnam Memorial in New York. … It’s a way of making up.”
 
He said the Vietnam Memorial remains something he gets thanked for regularly.
 
“I’ve built a lot of things and people forget, but the Vietnam Memorial to this day, if I’m walking down the street, the military so often they come up to me and they say, ‘Mr. Trump, thank you for building the Vietnam Memorial,’ ” Trump said. “They still thank me for it. The military, they have unbelievable heart.”
