Ann Romney: Rep. Ryan showed ‘level head’ in VP debate
{mosads}Ann Romney made several campaign stops in Michigan on Friday, also dropping in at the Peanut Shop in Lansing and the Franklin Cider Mill in Bloomfield Hills following the large event in Hudsonville.
Romney was raised in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and met Mitt Romney there. The GOP nominee’s father, George Romney, was governor of the state from 1963 to 1969.
“This is the state where George Romney was governor,” she noted during her speech. “This is the place that was turned around with a Romney administration. We want another Romney administration to turn this state around.’’
Obama is still leading in the state, which he won by 16 points in 2008, but Romney was closing the gap according to a recent poll.
