Dem senator tweets every mass shooting of 2015

A Democratic senator is recapping the year by tweeting details of every mass shooting that took place in America in 2015.

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), a staunch gun control advocate who was in office during the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, called it his “year in review.”

{mosads}Murphy said he is using data compiled by shootingtracker.com, which defines mass shootings as any in which four or more people are injured.

According to statistics compiled by USA Today, which defines mass shootings as any in which four or more people are killed, there have been approximately 21 mass shootings in 2015.

Gun violence has become a polarizing issue this year, with President Obama unapologetically declaring that he is willing to politicize the issue in order to advance gun control legislation.

The deadliest mass shooting of the year occurred Dec. 2, when a married couple stormed a San Bernardino, Calif., office building and killed 14 people.

Authorities said one of the shooters pledged allegiance to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) during the attack.
