Ryan channels Frank Underwood on Gitmo
Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) office is leaning on images from Frank Underwood to push back on President Obama’s last-ditch effort to close the Guantánamo Bay detention facility.
{mosads}The Speaker’s office on Wednesday posted a series of images from the “House of Cards” character breaking the fourth wall to stare down the audience with a deadpan expression.
The posting on the Speaker’s website dismisses Obama’s push to shutter the controversial prison this year, stating that Obama should “[close] the door on any plan that would move terrorist detainees to American soil.”
