Clinton plans to return to work next week
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton plans to return to work next week, according to the State Department.
{mosads}”She’s looking forward to getting back to the office. She’s very much planning to do so next week,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said on Thursday, according to Foreign Policy.
Currently, Clinton is resting at home in Chappaqua, N.Y., recovering after receiving treatment for a blood clot found between her brain and skull.
The secretary of state was admitted to Presbyterian hospital in New York City on Sunday after doctors discovered the clot, which resulted from a concussion Clinton suffered in December. Clinton received anticoagulants and doctors kept her under observation for 48 hours.
She was released from the hospital on Wednesday and her physicians expect her to make a full recovery.
According to the Associated Press, Clinton has been advised not to travel immediately.
