Report: George H. W. Bush could be released from hospital this week
Former President George H. W. Bush may leave the hospital this week, more than a month after being admitted to receive treatment for bronchitis.
“We are hopeful that he can be discharged this coming week, but we’re still taking everything one day at a time,” said Bush spokesman Jim McGrath on Saturday, according to reports.

Bush was admitted to Methodist Hospital in Houston in late December for a persistent cough. Doctors moved him to the intensive care unit in late December after he developed a fever.
Last week, the Bush family said in a statement that his recovery was “continuing” and that the former president was watching sports and meeting with visitors.
“In recent days he has taken great pride watching big football wins by Texas A&M and the Houston Texans,” said the statement from the family.
