Pop superstar Prince dies in Minnesota home

 
Pop music superstar Prince died Thursday in his home, The Associated Press reported Thursday.
 
Prince, 57, was found dead at his home in suburban Minneapolis.
 
{mosads}Born Prince Rogers Nelson, he released 39 albums through his career. He won seven Grammy Awards and received 30 nominations. He also won an Oscar for the original song score to the film “Purple Rain.” He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
 
His hits included “Little Red Corvette,” “Let’s Go Crazy” and “When Doves Cry.”
 
Last year, Prince gave a private performance at the White House to celebrate African American Music Appreciation Month.
