Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Tuesday gestured to have a crying baby removed from his rally, after the child interrupted his speech.
“Don’t worry about that baby, I love babies,” the GOP presidential nominee initially said at a rally in Ashburn, Va., after an audible cry from a child in the audience.
{mosads}”I hear that baby crying — I like it, what a baby, what a beautiful baby,” Trump continued to laughs and clapping.
“Don’t worry,” he told the baby’s mother.
Trump continued with his remarks for about a minute before more cries emerged.
“Actually, I was only kidding. You can get the baby out of here,” Trump said to more laughs, signaling with his hand for the disruption to be removed.
“I think she really believed me, that I love having a baby crying while I’m speaking,” he continued, referring to the mother. “That’s OK. People don’t understand.”
