Trump campaign turns reporter’s critical tweet into praise
Donald Trump’s campaign on Friday took a reporter’s tweet out of context to make it seem as if he were praising, not ridiculing, the Republican nominee.
{mosads}In a press statement that included about a dozen statements of praise from various journalists, the Trump campaign included a quote from Toronto Star Washington correspondent Daniel Dale that read “Toronto Star’s Daniel Dale: ‘Trump Was In Fine Form Stylistically. Good Spirits.’ “
But Dale proceeded to ridicule Trump in the original post.
“Trump was in fine form stylistically. Good spirits. He also made stuff up and called for regime change while denouncing regime change,” he wrote.
After noticing that his comment was taken out of context, Dale called out the presidential nominee’s campaign on Twitter.
Review: “This film had a wonderful score. The acting, plot and editing were horrible.”
