Clinton retweets anti-Trump candidate slamming campaign’s ‘Nazi reference’

Hillary Clinton on Thursday found an ally in Evan McMullin, sharing the conservative independent presidential candidate’s criticism of rival Donald Trump.

The Democratic nominee shared a tweet from McMullin slamming a remark from Trump’s son Donald Jr. that media would be “warming up the gas chamber” if Republicans were caught lying.

“An unsurprising Nazi reference from the ‘alt-right’ movement’s presidential campaign. This is the real Trump,” McMullin wrote in his tweet, which Clinton retweeted to her 8.8 million followers.

{mosads}Donald Trump Jr. made the comment during a radio program Wednesday, accusing media of having let Clinton “slide on every discrepancy, every lie.”

Clinton has gone on the attack exposing Trump’s alleged ties to the alt-right movement, which she has panned as racist and divisive in a series of speeches and media appearances.

Trump claimed ignorance about the movement after the former first lady last month linked him to the “racist ideology.”

She continued to go after Trump’s “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and Islamophobic” supporters over the weekend with a line on them being part of a “basket of deplorables.”

Clinton faces a decision on whether to continue hammering Trump following criticism of her “deplorables” remark, which the billionaire businessman has seized upon.

She returns to the campaign trail Thursday afternoon in North Carolina where she’ll deliver a speech after taking a break from campaigning following her pneumonia diagnosis.
