Tic Tac denounces Trump over lewd video

Tic Tac breath mints have joined the chorus denouncing Donald Trump over a leaked video in which he makes obscene comments about women.

Tic Tac tweeted from its official account Saturday that the company “respects all women.”

{mosads}”We find the recent statements and behavior completely inappropriate and unacceptable,” it added, without naming the Republican presidential nominee.

Trump mentioned Tic Tacs in the controversial video leaked Friday where he bragged in a 2005 private conversation first published by the Washington Post about kissing women without their consent.

“I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her,” Trump said in the tape, recorded on a hot microphone. “You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”

The sound of Tic Tacs dropping out of the container can be heard on the tape.

Tic Tacs is the second candy company to take a stand against Trump’s campaign so far this cycle.

Skittles pushed back against the presidential candidate’s son Donald Trump Jr. last month after he compared the acceptance of Syrian refugees into America to eating poisoned Skittles.

“Skittles are candy; refugees are people,” tweeted the Mars Co., which makes Skittles. “It’s an inappropriate analogy. We respectfully refrain from further comment, as that could be misinterpreted as marketing.”
