Curt Schilling defends Trump after questionable comment about 10-year-old

Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling on Thursday defended Donald Trump after footage surfaced from 1992 of the GOP nominee making a questionable remark about a 10-year-old girl.

{mosads}”How many times — and I have three boys and a daughter — how many times have you looked at a young man and said ‘Wow, he’s a beautiful young man, wow, he’s a gorgeous young man,'” Schilling asked a reporter on Fox Business.

“And that man was 12, 13, 14, 15.”

Schilling described his youngest son as a “gorgeous young man.”

“And I’ve heard women say, ‘Wow, he’s a beautiful young boy,'” Schilling said.

“To jump to the point where you’re insinuating something like pedophilia or molestation is where you’re going with this because he’s joking about, ‘Well, when she gets older, I’m going to date her,'” Schilling said.

“How do you get from there to being revolted and disgusted?” he asked.

Schilling also said he has a daughter and has seen some of his daughter’s friends and thought, “She’s a beautiful young lady.”

“I don’t immediately jump to molesting her,” he said.

“But that’s where the left has gotten.”

Earlier this week, footage surfaced of Trump engaging in small talk with a young girl before saying: “I am going to be dating her in 10 years. Can you believe it?”

The footage comes after the release of a 2005 tape in which the GOP nominee described how he could grope and kiss women without their consent because of his celebrity status.

On Wednesday, multiple women came forward and accused the GOP nominee of uninvited groping or kissing. Trump and his campaign have denied the accusations.
