Vice President Joe Biden said he’s “not a big fan” of former Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner.
{mosads}In an interview with CNN to be aired Saturday, Biden was asked about the newly discovered emails the FBI said could have an impact on its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
“I don’t know where these emails came from,” Biden noted.
“Apparently Anthony Weiner,” CNN’s Michael Smerconish responded.
“Well, oh God, Anthony Weiner,” Biden said. “I should not comment on Anthony Weiner. I’m not a big fan. I wasn’t before he got in trouble. So I shouldn’t comment on Anthony Weiner.”
After news broke of the new Clinton probe on Friday, the New York Times reported that the FBI discovered the emails related to the Clinton investigation through its separate investigation into Weiner’s sexting scandal.
The disgraced former congressman resigned in 2011 after it was revealed that he sent sexually explicit photos to women on social media.
Weiner recently separated from his wife top Clinton aide Huma Abedin in the wake of a new sexting scandal last summer.
