Democratic pollster and political analyst Doug Schoen is no longer supporting Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton but says he will continue to assess the situation.
{mosads}”I am deeply concerned that we will have a constitutional crisis if she’s elected,” Schoen said during an interview Sunday on Fox News.
“I want to learn more this week, see what we see, but as of today, I am not a supporter of the secretary of State for the nation’s highest office.”
His comments come after the FBI’s decision to review new emails it says are “pertinent” to its investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server.
The new review comes after FBI Director James Comey announced in July that the FBI would not recommend criminal charges related to Clinton’s use of a private server when she was secretary of State.
Comey sent a letter Friday to lawmakers telling them the bureau would be assessing these new emails.
The news set off a political firestorm with just about a week to go before Election Day.
Schoen said during the Fox News interview that if Clinton wins the White House, the country will have a president under criminal investigation for some time.
“Under these circumstances I am actively reassessing my support,” he said, without saying whom he plans to support in place of the Democratic nominee.
