Hillary Clinton and all the Democratic women in the Senate teamed up to launch a new video to talk about equality in government.
{mosads}The video created by EMILY’s List, which seeks to elect pro-abortion rights Democratic women, opens with Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.), the first woman to represent Maryland in the Senate.
Then the team of elected women list the rules of “Girl Club” to promote the importance of addressing women’s issues.
The first rule?
“Always talk about Girl Club,” Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) says. “Taking is good. It builds consensus and community.”
“Every outfit is a power outfit,” Mikulski adds. “Sneakers for running, boots for kicking butt and high heels for dancing our way to victory.”
“Rule No. 5: We can handle more than one fight at a time,” Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) says. “Ever hear of multi-tasking?”
The Democratic presidential nominee closes out the video with the “last rule of girl club.”
“If you don’t make it the first time. Don’t give up,” Clinton says. “Keep fighting, keep going. You’ll get there.”
