Eric Trump: ‘I’m laying low’ after David Duke bullet comment

Eric Trump on Friday joked that he was “laying low” after a comment he made a day earlier about former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke deserving a bullet.

{mosads}During a radio interview Friday, the host asked Trump, jokingly, if Syrian President Bashar Assad also deserved a bullet in the head.

“Listen, I’m not talking about anymore bullets,” Eric Trump said Friday on Michigan’s “Big Show,” CNN reported.

“I’m not talking about anymore bullets. I’m laying low. Amazing. Amazing.”

Trump on Thursday during a radio interview agreed with the host after he said Duke deserves a bullet to the head.

“The guy does deserve a bullet. I mean, these aren’t good people,” Trump said, as reported first by CNN.

“These are horrible people. In fact, I commend my father. My father’s the first Republican who’s gone out and said, ‘Listen, what’s happened to the African-American community is horrible and I’m going to take care of it.'”

Duke, who is running for Senate in Louisiana, supports Trump’s father, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.

During the radio interview Friday, Eric Trump reiterated that these aren’t “good people.” He then pivoted to talking about what needs to be done to rebuild the inner cities in this country.

“If you look at the African-American population in this country, and if you look at really African-American youth in so many of the inner cities in this country, they’ve been totally left behind. It’s very sad,” Trump said.

“I think there’s a great deal my father could do to change that in a big way.”
